I'm feeling horrible today so I stayed home from work. The back's in pain, the head is throbbing. . . So here I am all pissed off because I'm at home and feeling too crappy to get anything done. I may write a short fic or stick needles in my eye, which ever is less painful at this point.
Weekend was okay. Went out on friday with some co-workers and discussed how we could make the university's Bridges to the Future project something other than a propoganda tool - like an actually learning experience for the students and community. Looks like our hands are going to be full with that in the coming year.
Went to the anime con on Satuday and picked up a Miskatonic University T-shirt and a Cthulhu plushie. Very happy with that. Saw some cute anime things, but nothing I really wanted. I was looking for GW chibi dolls, but couldn't find any. The selection of GW djs was almost nil. All seemed to be 1x2 or 1xR - and there weren't many at that. Though one of the 1x2 I saw was rather beautiful.
Of the GW boys, Duo seemed the most represented there in both costume and art. Saw two beautiful pieces of him in the art show. There was one nice Trowa, but it was taken from one of the official art books, so I don't think that counts. There was a gorgeous Vampire Hunter D there, which kinda made me want to actually like the anime, but alas, I still find the story stupid.
Later that day I watch the rest of Michael Moore's the Awful Truth on dvd. The headache began then.
Sunday began a marathon of Shogun. I think there's 4 hours left of it now. . . we shall see if my head is able to take it.

Cons...
As for cons... Duo is usually the most cosplayed character ... followed closely by Vash and Wolfwood of Trigun (hell, Wolfwood is easy, one dark suit, one white shirt, and one giant cross with a white sheet on it and a few straps).
I noticed at the last two cons I was as that GW djs were pretty scarce and of what was there it was mostly Heero/Duo and Heero/Relena. Last year there were tons of them and I got all sorts. There were Sano/Kenshin djs that didn't move as far as I could tell. It would be great if the dealers would find a way to quiz people as to what their interests may be. At A-kon which was loaded with Saiyuuki stuff, I picked up loads of Yami no Matsuei and was happy (but there wasn't much GW) and I had no interest in Saiyuuki then. So Animefest happens and just when I was in the mood to buy Saiyuuki stuff ... it was a damn scavenger hunt. (It was also a hunt for YnM also).
