Catsradle E-Mail is Down

Okay, due to the fact that both the post office and the bank fucked me over, my catscradle e-mail account is temporarily shut down. Asked how not good humored I am at the moment.

The post office decided they never received my first change of address and proceeded to send my mail to my old apartment. Once I figured that out and got it cleared up, they then proceeded to tell me that I shouldn't worry because I received no mail during that period. My mother and my bank claim differenly, and while I'd be one to be dubious of what the bank says, mom doesn't normally lie about those things. So I told the post office to find my mail - not much luck there.

So then I go to the bank, inform them of the problem and that they need to cancel the card they sent out and send me a new one immediately. The bank is looking up what they sent - turns out it was just a regular ATM bank card - not the VISA debit it was suppose to be. So had I actually received it in the mail, it would have been useless anyway.

All that said, I've been holding off sending a check to my web provider because I know with the mail here, it's going to be 10 days before it gets there anyway (and this is no joke, I've been threaten by companies turning things off before when I sent the check in the mail 2 weeks early - it *is* that bad!) and if the card gets here in the mean time, I can beat the mail service and avoid getting my account turned off. Well, thanks to absolutely *no one* doing their jobs right, I've lost e-mail for the next few days. So if you're trying to get in touch with me, I'm not avoiding you, I just don't have access. Sorry. =(

People have always told me Chicago had the worst postal service in the U.S., but it sounds like your part of Colorado is vying for the "worse service" title. The idiots on campus where I work may be slow as molasses helping people, but the do get the mail out quickly and I've never dicked me around on change of address information.

I'm sorry for you troubles, hopefully it will all get resolved soon. ^___^

Actually, last year it was in the paper that Colorado was tied with Utah for having the worst postal service in the country. So it's official - we suck *g*

Get Wufei on the case and he'll have the place organized within an inch of it's life in two weeks flat. I pity the postal workers... though it will give an entirely new definition to "going postal". Might even be a compliment...
