What does this say about me...?

Am I a totally souless human being for hating Amazing Grace? I have always hated this song. Even from back in the days when I was a God-fearing, church-going, saintly child. Maybe it was a sign from my childhood that I would grow up an agnostic, bi-sexual hedonist, but my God the song makes my skin crawl. I feel like hiding under the desk and rocking myself to "MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!"

You really take your chances with the all Christmas music radio station...

Maybe it's exactly because I grew up in a non-God-fearing, left-wing, liberal Methodist church that I love the song. I used to sing it all the time and still know all the verses.

The song that drives ME nuts? Puff the Magic Dragon. Aarrrhrhghgh!

I know all the lyrics too. It only adds to the pain because then it gets stuck in my head and it never leaves. I have a similar reaction to The Old Rugged Cross. I hope I can redeem myself by loving O Holy Night.

You know, I only like Puff because it reminds me of the cartoon that came out when I was little, even though the only thing I remember about the cartoon is that I saw it. - otherwise, yeah, it's a suck song.

I hate that song!! Sarah's is actually doing a lyrical routine to it and it makes me want to scream everytime she practices. =P
