Little information for [livejournal.com profile] silverthoughts, if you've not heard this already.

Got the special edition of Fear and Loathing over the weekend. Looks like it came out in 2002. Lots of neat little things on it, like Johhny Depp reading his corespondence letters between him and Hunter S. Thompson. Good stuff. I'm glad I picked up for that alone. But there's also a section for actor's commentary on this one (don't know if it's on the original DVD) and Johnny, the God that he is, gave us nice slashable material for him and Tobey McGuire. The scene is when Johnny is sitting on the back seat of the red convertable with Tobey. For those of you that haven't seen the movie, Tobey is a hitchhiker with this long blond hair and horrible male pattern baldness. This is just about word for word, he says:

"I wanted to kiss him there. If I didn't have the cigarette holder in my mouth I would have. Something about that hairline drove me wild!"

A little later he refers to Tobey as Spider Boy. Apparently Tobey felt a little scared on the set when Johnny and Benicio were acting in character. Heh. Would have loved to have been on that set ;)

I had no idea there was a special edition. Mine is a rather el cheapo copy I picked up for like $2 US that only played the movie with no extras.

*laugh* Johnny is so cool. I love him.

Wonder if they do Fear and Loathing slash?

Completely have to look into this.

That's what I was telling Steph! I mean, I don't normally go for RPS, but damn, this seems too good to pass!!

It's got to be RPS, as Fear and Loathing slash might actually kill the author during the research process. Though I am willing to lend myself for this dangerous assignment ;)
