I think yesterday was set to the sound track of 70s depression music. Everything that could go wrong, did. Mostly. One thing went right. I ran a sucessful trial run of a Power Point presentation from my laptop to the school equipment. Woohoo! Who knew my technology and the school technology were compatable?

That's were it ended, because everything else sucked the big one.

The phone people said they have to come out and rewire the lines in the house so that I can have my own phone hooked up. $99 for that. Plus the cost of the new number, turning it on, et cetera. Total cost is about $150. Basically, either I do this or I don't get a phone. Great.

Then I found out that the project I was working on for a month wasn't what my boss wanted. It's due Friday and I have go back and rearrange the whole thing - what took me a month - by Friday. Great.

So I finally get to go home - I leave the office 5 minutes ahead of time (4:25) to catch the earlier bus because it was snowing. That never came. Niether did the second bus I normally catch. Or the third. It finally got there at 5:10. It then proceeded to creep down the street at 1 miles per hour. I kid you not. The traffic was SO bad, a 10 minute bus ride took 1 hour. I was about to tear my hair out by the time we got to the lightrail station. All in all, what should have been an hour took 2 and a half hours. I was completely frozen at the end of it.

Things didn't get much better when I finally got home - everyone around me seemed to be in a horrid mood. So it was a great night =P

Started today with banana oatmeal and hot cocoa - hopefully today is better.

Sorry. I feel your pain. I do. I remember several years ago we got hit with an ice storm. They told everyone on campus to leave (right in the damn middle of the ice storm). So a billion of us were waiting at my usual bus stop. I decided to take a different bus that would get me to my destination maybe not as fast, but there weren't a billion people at the stop. I took yet a different bus (again it would get me the same place just it was a longer route). Well of course we got stuck trying to go up a hill. We (the busriders held on the bus) wondered why the dispatcher didn't call in a detour to this route. That was when the dispatcher announced that bus should take the following detour.... We suggested backing up, but the driver wouldn't do it until he got a supervisor. Meanwhile cars driving down the hill we were stuck on kept sliding towards us! Luckily none of them hit us but came damn close. Finally a supervisor showed up and we backed up into the street and took the detour. It took I think 3 hours to get home (which even on this long bus route should have only took 45 minutes).

Sorry about the phone woes. That just sucks.

But hopefully today will be a good day for you!
