So I dyed my hair last night because I needed a little change and got just that. . . a little change. Apparently my hair only shows up red on infrared cams, but my co-workers are swearing they can see it. They're nice people.

Then I was hanging some pictures up and fell through a slot in the futon frame. Foot was fine, but it was the second time that day that I jarred my back - those of you that know me well, know my back history and how this is not good. So I took some mega ibuprofin and put a block of ice on my back and tried to sleep. Now I'm trying to sit at my desk and pretend it's not killing me. I've just been told by the assistent dean that he can get me a chair with back support - so I'm appreciative of that.

I noted yesterday that I haven't read fanfic in a while, so I decided I'd read a few and tried to write some feedback. Now I remember why I haven't read it in a while.

In the GW fandom: Treize is not a complete Snidely Whiplash evil bastard villian (TM). Those of you that insist he can't be bothered to remember the names of the officers under his command - remember that long speech he made of how each soldier/officer that died is forever etched in his memory? Remember now how he rattled all their names off? People, it's okay to watch the series you're writing about. Really.

Duo does not speak in purple prose and despite his clothing, no one that knows him has ever mistaken him for being religous. Une does not have curly hair. Heero does not talk like the average 13 year old mallrat. Trowa has never refered to Quatre or anyone else as his "darling angel". Please stop this.

Buffy: I understand that Willow is a bit on the non-linear side and can act a bit spacey - she's still not an idiot. She was an honors student and bookworm. Can we please stop writing her as though she can't add two and two together? Spike - again, punk attitude and a smartass mouth do not equate with idiot. Spike has a brain and uses it more than about anyone else in the show save Giles.

DS9: Kira is not a crying weak woman - she's an ex-terrorist and a ranking officer in the new Bajoran government. She didn't get there by being timid. She's known for speaking her mind to the point of almost being brutal. "Garak" is not the misspelling of "gimick". Bashir has never refered to Garak or anyone else as his "darling angel" (see Trowa above).

Queer as Folk: Put Brian down, run fast, run far. On the other hand, Emmitt really is that gay.

Oh the pain, the pain. . .
