If only I had my lunch. . .

Once again I left my damned lunch on the counter before running out the door to work. I nearly pitched a fit on the lightrail when I realized it. I have no memory.

On the good note, I'm done with classes - the last of the course work for my masters was turned in Tuesday. Now all that's left is the thesis. Woohoo!

Finally saw the complete last three episodes of Buffy. Thoughts on that to come in a bit.

One fic rant: Why do people think they need to come up with a million and one different ways to say a name? Let's go with Duo here for the sake of the argument. If one doesn't want to use his first name, there is always Maxwell, Maxwell's Demon, The God of Death and Shinigami if you're feeling in a Japanese mythological mood. More generically, there is simply the boy. What isn't needed? The American boy, the violet eyed boy, the elvish boy - and my personal favorite: The braided boy. Yes, Duo is known for the long braid in his hair - but unless he is a contortionist or a human pretzel, he is not, in fact, braided. I know we all love a little aliteration in our lives, that just isn't the time for it.

It really is okay to repeat the character's name and use pronouns. Seriously - if you read books you'll see they do it all the time.
