I feel the need to bitch slap Justin. Now, I realize that Justin usually has a point and Brian can be a real insensitive putz. I'm not trying to vilify Justin because I'm Brian fan-girl or anything - but Christ does Justin always have bad timing at the whiney moments.

Okay, Brian is about to lose his job. He's been told point blank that he was a week to justify his existence and that all the other ad exectives have been fired. This after he had every reason to expect he was about to be made partner. The bottom falls out 2 times over on Brian. Justin knows this. Now is not the time to start a "But what about meeeeeeee! campaign.

Yeah, Brian was a complete ass in the last episode - Justin has very legitimate concerns - but using this moment to spout off how self-centered Brian is because he wants to keep his job. . . Justin came off as a 10 year old that can't understand why daddy can't make his baseball game. Brian repeatedly told him they could go the next week or sometime after he secured his job - but Justin had to go NOW. Hell, they had that Italy trip in the future too - why can't Justin wait till this one crisis passes - then if Brian is still putting him off he can get pissy with him - leave him - what have you.

So I was not happy with Justin. This is why I don't think Justin and Brian can work - the age difference is a little too broad right now. Justin is still a boy and prone to fits of "ME!" Of course, so is Brian

Loved all of Emmit's gifts - he really thought about what he'd give to each friend. And the home for gay and lesbian kids was very touching. Contesting of the Will was predictable though. Hope poor Emmit gets good council - hopefully Mel is free.

Loved all of Mel and Lindsey's scenes this episode. Very agreeable to the threesome action. =)

Yeah Justin was annoying, but OTOH I suppose that does make sense for a kid his age. If he got a "real" boyfriend from his own agegroup, said boyfriend wouldn't have problems like that and would be able to focus on him (provided he didn't, you know, care about school ;) ). I'm not saying it's right, just that it's in-character. He still needs to be spanked though.

And I am cringing a little over the will story too - it's too predictable. I saw this coming months ago. I hope the ending of it at least proves interesting.

My prediction on Ethan the violinist (and God, isn't he beautiful!), is that he's going to be the cat's meow for Justin for quite a while. It's going to be Ethan this, Ethan that, "Ethan would never (insert insensitive Brian moment) like Brian would. . ." - and then Justin will have Ethan and find out what it's really like to live with a musician. We've already seen a bit of that ego - I'm placing my bets that Ethan has an ego to rival Brian's and an anger streak to match it. I've lived with musicians, it ain't easy. *g*

But you're right - Justin might currently need a boyfriend that's at the same stage - someone who will gradually join the arena of responsibility with him. I don't think he'll get that with Ethan though. What happens when Ethan has to tour or gets a sudden invitation to play for the Pope in Rome or something? I just have a bad feeling about the Ethan thing. But he sure is cute.

Exactly. Justin will have his little fling then realize his urge to bitch-slap Ethan vastly outweighs his urge to be with him. Ethan's "I am hot shit" attitude is only going to go so far.
