Unruly Hair Day

This morning I tried 4 times in vain to put my hair up with this cool homemade clippy thing I bought a few months ago at the People's Fair. I use it nearly daily with this heat, otherwise I get thoughts of shaving my head. I can't stand hair on my neck when it's hot out. But not today. No. Today my hair would not stay. It said no to the clippy thing. So I had to twirl it up into a bun. I used my blue butterfly stick hair thing instead. But for some reason the back of my hair is poofing out now - like I didn't get all the air out before I sealed it or something. I wonder if the alien masters missed a glitch in the matrix...

Get some combs. Once your hair is in a bun, run the comb up the back of your head and secure under the back of the bun. It takes up the slack. Or at least it does that for me.

I HATE when that happens. It won't poof up around my face, but it will at the back. Maddening.

I really can't imagine where people get the patience for long hair. I thought my bob, which wasn't even shoulder-length, was a pain. I liked it for a while, but then I just got sick of always having to have a barrette or something to keep it out of my face. I will say, though, at least it's not frizzy or unruly curly. Right now I just have to make sure I put on my hair putty/pomade/gel right.

Well typically I don't have the puffy problem. It was just yesterday when for some reason I was totally uncordinated. If I used combs in that state I think they would have been tangled and sticking straight up *G*

I actually found short hair to be far more time consuming than long hair for me. It wouldn't lay right or I've to gel it or curl it or just generally fuss with it... For long hair I either just leave it down or put it up in a clip. I'm done in 2-5 minutes. Plus there's more variety depending on my mood. It's just that yesterday my chi was off or something *G* I don't usually have issues with it.
