Started today off with falling off the step ladder I use to update the registration board at work. I've always had this fear I'd do this and as it goes, this wasn't nearly as bad as my visions *knock on wood* I caught myself before doing a face-first splat, but I bruised my left leg and slightly twisted the right ankle. No biggie, though the bruise forming on the left leg is looking big and ugly. What I don't get is how I bruised the side I did. From the way I was standing, I should have injured the opposite sides. Huh. Mystery.

My first call of the day was a strange man. Challenged me on everything I asked him on the new student form, like his full name and birthdate. It'd be one thing if he were only taking one class with us, but he's signing up for a masters degree. Dude, your information is going to be plastered all over your transcripts once we get them. Chill. When we got to "ethinic origin" he informed me his was Italian. We're just looking for white, black, hispanic, etc... I mark down white. So then he tells me. "Well, I'm actually Sicilian, so if you're a white supremicist you'd think I have tainted blood." I tell him I'll make a note of that. I considered asking him if he's a muggle or a wizard, but I didn't.

I've been looking for a gluten free bakery for a while now, 'cause pizza and cranberry/orange scones are in dire need, folks. Dire. So around February I came across a website for a new GF bakery in DENVER! To open in March. Things were good. They were going to open an online AND onsite bakery. Ah, I was being spoiled! So I send off an inquiry and I signed up for the mailing list. Nothing. March came and went. Nothing. Went back in April - the site was still there, but with the old grand opening date. I sent another inquiry to see if they were still going to open. Nada. My hopes dashed, I thought it better to forget about it.

The, lo and behold TODAY I got an e-mail explaining they were going to now open July 1st. They were taking some special orders for people in the area, but they'll be ready to go both on site and online July 1st. WOOHOO! Back in business! So on July first I'm hosting a gluten free pizza party.

Deby's Gluten Free, Inc.

There's the site in case Denverites or Coloradians that need something like this are reading.
