I should be bothering people with phone calls asking them if everything's okay with their first class and how can I make adminstration/technical crap easier for them and such bullshit. "New student courtesy calls" is the euphamism we use for trying to keep new customers from going to the competition.

And if I'm not doing that, which I'm not, then I should at least be constructively slacking by writing more thesis stuff. Complete draft due in by February 4th. Must be signed and bound February 25th. The terror mounts. Yes, and here I am writing in LJ because, dear god, I haven't updated this thing all January. All in all I've really got nothing to say, but my calendar mocks me, so here I am.
From CNN:Christians issue gay warning on SpongeBob video

SpongeBob, who lives in a pineapple under the sea, was "outed" by the U.S. media in 2002 after reports that the TV show and its merchandise are popular with gays. His creator, Stephen Hillenburg, said at the time that though SpongeBob was an oddball, he thought of all the characters in the show as asexual.

It is not the first time that children's TV favorites have come under the critical spotlight of the Christian right. In 1999, the Rev. Jerry Falwell described Tinky Winky, the purse-toting purple Teletubbie, as a gay role model.

Yeah, I'm getting back to the thesis...

[Edit: If I were more ambitions I'd superimpose SpongeBob on the Angel Tossing icon. Try to image it for your religious intolerance pleasure.]
