Now since this breakfast in the past was used by fundamentalists such as Jerry Falwell and the like to promote fundraising for the Israeli right winged Likud party and end of the world Christian Zionist Apocalytic Sock Hop, I thought it rather interesting that this year we have U2's front man and messianic rock hero, Bono.
Perhaps not so interesting, as Bono's co-Time-"Man-of-the-Year" thing has made him more trendy in Washington. It's also a nice PR move for the Bush administration as a "See? We're of the People!" marketing scheme. Whatever the reason, Bono had his say and... wow. Very well spoken. Here's a man that knows how to take the bible and fire back.
