I slept 12 hours last night. From 7pm till 7am. Hard to believe - but I'm feeling much better than I did yesterday - so lets hope that I finally kicked the last of that damn flu!

Good news is I feel better. Bad news, I didn't write anything last night.

I better be over it, as this Thursday I've been invited by my friend Nick to an exclusive official Johnny Walker scotch party. Some sort of taste test thing, but it's free scotch all night, so I'm going even if I have black lung.

I nearly killed my desk plant. I kept forgetting to water it and this morning it was all limp and droopy. Ooops. But I got to it in time. Gave it a nice dose of water and now it's all perky again. I'm not sure what the hell type of plant this is, the little tag only says it's tropical. It's got fat twisty leaves that are green, gold and red, so if anyone knows what type of plant that is, I'd appreciate it if you drop a line.

Speaking of plants, I really want to plant a garden. Problem is, renters don't get that luxury - anyone know of veggies you can grow inside or in small outdoor planters? I promise to remember to water these. . .

Glad you're feeling better! :)

When I lived in Baltimore, I kept herbs in pots. :) You might want to look into that; they can be useful and many of them are hardy plants. I had a Sweet Basil plant that survived even *my* black thumb for more than a year! :) And it was great, just snipping a few fresh herbs to cook with when the mood struck. :)

Now that you're well-rested, about that poppy story... ;) *hint, hint, nag, nag* ;)

Hey Yoiko!

Yeah, I was thinking about an herb garden, as I love to cook with fresh herbs. I never realized parsily actually had a taste till I used the fresh stuff *g* I really want tomatoes and squash and stuff, but I guess that's just dreaming =P Maybe I'll think of something. . . Till then, I think I'll go out and get some herb seeds =)

Re:

Hm. For veggies... I think you'd need one of those whopping-huge barrels. :) They'd have to have enough depth to be able to put their roots out. :) My sister has a barrel she got at a garden shop; I'm sure if you don't like barrels, they'd have other types of containers that'd do. :) You might even be able to find something good at a place like Wal-Mart. :)

Hmmm. . . cherry tomatoes, or even those super high powered grape tomatoes. . . went to a bookstore last summer where they had a tomato dish rather than a candy dish. Little buggers went faster than candy too *g* It was like the neutron star of tomatoes, I swear!
