This wasn't my favorite season for Queer as Folk. I'm not sorry to see the whole Stockwell and Ted arcs finally behind us. But I did like the final episode, with a few qualifications.

Mikey - WAY over the top at the end. It was like "Let's all be completely selfless in some sort of freak harmonic convergence!" And don't get me started on Hunter. I'm betting the cops were actually the plot convenience cops. He's overstayed his ability to further the plot and they were about to haul him off on useless character charges.

Ted - Oh yikes. Nothing like viewing your gang rape on video to shock you into rehab. Shit. I feel for Ted. Mostly because, other than Emmett, no one else has. Is it just me, or does anyone else find it odd that Mikey and Ben put themselves on the line to help Hunter, a kid that would most likely slit their throats while they slept, but did nothing for their good friend of many years, Ted.

Well, first, I refuse to believe that Ted would ever get that bad or willing do crystal meth. Sorry, but Ted had other options available to him. Were it not so anti-Ted-like I might have bought it, but not Ted - no way.

But given that the writers are more jacked on crystal than Ted, lets go with that. Okay, Ted's an adict. Great. It's not at though Ted began doing it for shits and giggles. He seriously depressed - he just lost everything and he can't get a job to save his life. People do stupid things when they're depressed. WHERE ARE HIS FRIENDS? Stage an intervention. SOMETHING!

That aside, Scott is a great actor. His storyline sucked, but he acted it well.

Brian - his dance scene with Emmett - kickass. I love their dynamic. I think there needs to be more Brian and Emmett interaction in the future.

Brian getting rid of all his worldly posessions to nail Stockwell - don't know if I buy it, but it was nice. He did it in Brian fashion and pretty much thought himself the ass the entire time. I could appreciate that.

His scenes with Justin - MELT. I love the looks he gave Justin. If he doesn't love that boy, there is no such term. ..

Overall, liked the episode - just had to get through the shit that built up over the 3rd season. . .

They do just ignore poor Ted a lot don't they? I like him. Was refreshing to see Blake show up again. Think I'm seeing a love triangle..for season four, don't you? ;)

Blake certainly does clean up well. What a smile that kid has! I don't know about a love triangle though - I think Emmett needs either a cleaned up Ted or to move on. Triangles don't tend to work on this show *g*

On Ted - I'm amazed that Mel and Lindsey didn't help more. Mel and Ted were like best friends - the writing was just bad this season. It worked well scene by scene, but the overall plot was just horrid. The cut too much out that needed addressed =P
