Lots of snow. We've got about 18 inches on the ground so far and according to weather man, Mike Nelson, we're only a third of the way through the storm. We can expect another 2-3 feet before it's all over. We are quite literalyl snowed in and are now under a blizzard warning. Needless to say - had today off and most likely tomorrow. Unfortunately this falls at the same time as finals week at the university.

Snow is very heavy wet sort of snow. There's a tree outside my door that's making me a little nervous. It's seriously drooping. Many reports of trees spliting right down the middle from the pressure of the snow.

Frodo did a head dive into a snow bank - spent a good part of the morning cleaning him up. Apparently he's a little snow dog. Unfortunenately, were it not for the path shoveled out for him, it goes way over his head. He's curled up at my feet now being good for once today.

Odd, we're on the brink of war and that story is sidelined right now for the weather. It always comes down to mother nature, doesn't it? Screw the war! We can't make it down to Block Buster to get our snowed-in movies! Nonsense. Just get the sled out and tie the dog to it. . .

Saw a bit of the president last night telling us we had to go to war for the good of all that is holy. Was it just me, or did anyone else see the strings moving his mouth?

So tomorrow we go to war. . . Jon, our tech guy, has offered to install CNN on our computers. Turned it down. I don't think I really want that live-streamed into every moment of my waking life. I'll go to Democracy Now if I want information resembling some sort of truth.

Well, it's hard to watch the man speak without wanting to grab the closest alcoholic beverage, I understand this. In fact, after hearing him I mixed a great concoction of keylime pop, orange flavored rum and peach schnapps. I'm not usually one for the fruity drinks, but man was it good! I need to come up with a name for it now. . . But alas, I only had it after Bush spoke - so the wires must have been real.
