It's New Years Eve and I'm sitting at work. I'm wearing all black to bid farewell to the old year. I can't say I'll be sad to see this one go. There was a lot of uncertainty going on for me in personal conflict. Though as of a few days ago I've felt a little more at peace - like I'm ready to get on the right track and finally finish what I started.

There's also a lot of scariness about 2002 apart from me. Attacks on civil liberties, censorship, wars and rumors of wars, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria.

Still, as a rule in my own book of life, odd years are definately the more interesting ones. God, if there is a God, help us in 2003.

Onward.

I placed my Oscar Wilde calligraphy on my desk next to Sai Baba. Yes, opposites DO attract and my karma is sinking ever lower. Though one is not suppose to think of karma in terms of a point system, so I'm not all that worried about it.

Last night I went out and bought alcohol for tonight's festivities. I picked up bottles of Sake, Johannisberg Riesling and Italian champaign. Then I realized the theme going on, so I put back the Riesling and picked up a bottle of Pernot Grigio instead.

Though some years ago, I was with a group of friends and we came up with a similarly themed mixed drink. Do NOT try this at home . . .

Triumph of the Axis Powers:

2 oz Jaggermeister
1 oz Fragelico
Sake chaser

Garanteed to cause blitzkrieg barfing.

I'm not sure what mix would go with the current Axis of Evil, but I'm sure Coors fits in there somewhere.

Stay safe.

Happy New Year!

My God, that's perfect. Nick thinks so too. He just said he'd get along with you well. Nothing bonds like a good alcoholic allegory.

Re: In an error of corporate imperialism,

I was trying to think what we could toast tonights resolutions with.

I made a resolution a few days ago...tonight I may resolve to actually work on work work during the time I am at work at least as much as I feel I should be.

Soon, heading to a friend's house. Quiet night. We'll come home before the clock tolls. I don't expect tomorrow will be a day to celebrate more than I celebrate any other day.

Should that be reposted on sos-usa?

Enjoy your night.

I think so.

Leaving work now so I can go out to eat. I'll be home to drink sake well before midnight. I'll toast to nothing inparticular.
