So Charlton Heston is at it again.
Those of you that don't know, Charton Heston came to speak at an NRA rally in Denver 10 days after the Columbine massacre. Marilyn Manson - thought to be Satan himself - canceled the last five shows of his tour out of respect for the kids. But not Charlton.
Charlton next spoke at an NRA rally in Flint, Michigan about a week after a six year old boy shot a six year old girl there.
Now Charlton went to Tucson yesterday, just 48 hours after a student at the University of Arizona shot and killed three professors and then himself. Why? A GUN RALLY FOR THE NRA, of course!!!!
How very sad. . .
I thought Moses only carried a staff.

The NRA stages these rallies around big shootings because they know it's going to give rise to debate on gun control. They block things like giving the guns their own identity so bullets found in crime shootings can be traced back to the owner. They don't want restrictions on types of guns they can buy. They don't want background checks before buying a gun. Why? Because it's everyone's God given right to own a gun!
Well, no it isn't. According the the 2nd Ammendment, arms are under restriction and regulation. The NRA never mentions that part to us though. And Charlton, for decades, has been spouting off the NRA beliefs. He might be sick now, but he wasn't always. So while the NRA might be using him, he's not really standing up there spouting off things he never believed in before. =(

oh jesus...
tuesday when i went to universal studios, the "earthquake" ride featured a video clip of charlton, the original movie's star, talking about the special effects and i swear, that man is the definition of vacuous -- not to mention that about a dozen people in the crowd were like "oh, god, it's the gun lobby man!"
