Looks like two storm systems (one being the remnants of Hurricane Paul) will converge and possibly cause blizzard conditions for Denver tonight and tomorrow morning. Or not. They're not sure yet. Predictions are anywhere from 4" to 12" depending, thought they expect 8". Whiteout conditions. Maybe.

Hope it's not an Earl...

My goal is that by 2020 everyone is using this term with no idea why. A scant few of us will share a knowing smile.

Hope you're feeling better!

Oh, Jebus. My friend [livejournal.com profile] typhoo just moved to Denver from Vegas! Hee! I guess he and his partner are about to get a big kiss from Mother Nature!

The good news is that whatever blows in should be out of here by tomorrow afternoon. Then the temps will shoot up to the 60s again. If they want a real treat, the blizzard of March 2003 was much more impressive. Snow for three solid days with accumulation averaging 3-4" in the Denver metro area (much higher at the foothills, where I lived then). Shut down most of central Colorado for 3-4 days.

The problem with this storm will be the wind - predictions are 50 mile per hour winds in the city. There are some passages around this area that record 70-100 mph winds. Colorado is a meterologist dream world.
