So, I'm in Ohio now, back from vacation in New Jersey at the beach. Fun little trip. Started with a flood when I pulled in from Denver - had a river going down the street where they were rescuing people from cars in the parking lot of Best Buy. The yard looked like a swamp. Then started the road trip 9 hour miracle drive to NJ. Had fun, all in all. Lots of sand and beach and ocean and seafood. Good company too. Saw some old friends I've not seen is quite a while. . .
Leaving for Denver tomorrow morning, decided not to go back to work till Wednesday though. I just need to mentally unwind before tackling work again.
Yesterday found out that the blackout had it's roots in Ohio. Sorry about that. Saw a headline from Cedar Pointe, had people *walking* off the Magnum after sitting on the roller coaster for 20 minutes when the power blew. Yikes. Having been on that roller coaster, gotta say, jumping off that and walking down takes some guts. Jesus, what if it had been going *down* hill when that blew???? *shudder*
Anyway, to my northeast coast friends, so sorry. Ohioans really are nice cool people.
