1. What is your favorite specialty restaurant (Italian, Mexican, Thai, etc.)?

McCormick's Seafood in Denver is my current favorite. Way pricey, but way worth it.


2. What do you order to eat there?

Pre gluten free diet I always got the baked bree with roasted garlic on homemade bread for an appetizer. As for dinner, I usually get the specialty of the day, as they always try out new dishes every week. It's all good. Their seafood pasta's are to die for. They're also connected with the best martini bar in the state - so typically I get one or two of those as well.

3. What is your favorite specialty food or dish to cook?

This changes, I like to try new things. Right now I'm on a Moroccan and Greek kick. Someone seriously need to take the feta away from me.

4. If you could travel to the home country of your favorite specialty food, what would you do there?

Um... roam about and see the place, I presume.

5. What is your worst experience with a specialty food restaurant?

Super bad Mexican place. Left after the appetizers. Ran even.

We have a McCormick & Schmick's seafood restaurant here in Atlanta, actually just down the street from here. It's a chain so I wonder if it's the same as you have in Denver. My favorite thing is a little neck clam appetizer they have... with them soaking in garlic butter.

Re worst restaurant experience, now that you say it, one of my worst WAS as as Mexican place, too. Caleb and I got chicken burritos -- weird, since we're normally both vegetarian -- and for some reason both of us felt the chicken as a bit too "alive."

I think the worst meal I ever had involved a far-too underdone turkey that had a bag 'o' giblets inside that the hostess produced as 'a cook in pack of stuffing'. (Uh. I think not.) The hostess was my sister in law, so that explains a lot.

I didn't think this one was a chain. Their website only indicates the one. And there's no Schmick in the name, so hard to say. Though I guess it could be the case that it's owned or partially owned by the same guy, even if it's not part of the chain. In New Orleans you'd get 10 restaurants owned by the same family, but with slightly different names and menus. Maybe it's something like that.

Now I'm hungry for seafood.

We have a wonderful Greek place in walking distance. The staff always hugs us and tells us how beautiful we are - serves us like family. It's aways a fun experience :)
