Okay, found this survey on Versailes Rose's LJ and I thought why not. . . Not like I actually want to do my work on this dreary yucky cold day from hell.
1. What are you reading that isn't fanfiction?
Well, for fun I'm reading Quantum Psychology by Robert Anton Wilson. It's not as high tech as it sounds, he's just a sci-fi writer and conspiracy theory propogator. For my thesis I'm reading the Nag Hammadi and a bunch of books on Gnosticism (1st - 2nd cent christianity).
2. What music are you listening to that isn't the soundtrack of your favorite movie?
I'm still hung up on Poe's Haunted.
3. What creative person or people do you admire who aren't involved in the film or television industry?
My bestfriend for the past 20 years, Leah - she's a poet and artist and quite brilliant at both. Plus she's had to overcome a lot of adversity to get where she is today. Of course I think DaMoyre is a brilliant writer and needs to give us more fics. . . and the old krewe I hung with back in the glory VampChron days.
4. What's your favorite play that you've seen live, on stage?
The Tempest
5. What's the best live concert you've ever been to?
To date it's Peter Gabriel back in '92.
6. What do you do when you're not online?
Read, write, cook, watch movies, drink and decorate. Sometimes I try my hand at painting. HA!
7. What do you do for fun with your real life, offline family and friends?
Go out. Shopping, movies, drinking, museums, symphony. Or sit around and watch movies at home. . .
8. If you could produce your own television series or make your own movie, what would it be about and who would you like to cast in it?
I'd like to do an indy film about a group of religious study grad students who drink too much, are generally cynical and are political dissidents in their spare time. Casting. . . hmmmm. . . I want John Cameron Mitchel of Hedwig and the Angry Inch fame to play the lead male role. Amanda Plummer should be in it somewhere. . . and Christina Ricci as the lead female.
9. What's the plot of that novel you've been putting off writing while you chat online or surf the Net?
I've been ploting a novel about my time spent in New Orleans for three years now. I've revised the first 3 chapters three times now - don't think this particular story is going to fly. Maybe I'll write something about religious studies grad students instead.
10. What would you do with all your free time if you didn't spend so much time on the Net?
I don't really spend the time I used to on the net - been going places and doing things - so I guess I now know what I *could* have been doing with my time for the past 7 years. See answer to question 7 for details. *g*
