I signed up for an all day writer's workshop in August. For the past two years I've done nothing but thesis research and writing. Of the 40 or so books I've read over that time, I think I completed one novel and wrote a 5 page fanfic. This will force me to write something over the next month and a half. So far I have a slew of ideas but no real passion behind them. I suspect this has more to do with just being exhausted all the time than apathy. And I think I need to get it in my head that my thesis, despite the fact it isn't fiction, was certainly a worthy excursion into the realm of writing. Part of me thinks it'd be a great idea to take the research and turn it into a work of fiction. The topic is fascinating enough and I could see several stories churning out of it. Maybe create the antithesis of the Left Behind series in which the rapture doesn't happen and all the characters are actually interesting. I have a list of ideas I've jotted down over the past year or so. Just need to find it...

Whatever the case, I'll have to have something done by August and be prepared to share it with strangers.
