Enjoyed last night's show far more than the past few episodes. We got a handful of flash backs that actually fit the storyline rather than one insipid flashback of Jack or Kate being shoehorned into an Actual People Personality. Every so often, a glimmer of a real character escapes Jake and that thankfully happened tonight. Note that it never, ever happens between him and Kate. I once more beg TPTB to please, Please, PLEASE give it up already. You do not create sexual tension just by telling us it's there. You can't tell us it's there, that's not how sexual tension works. So stop, because you do more on accident than you do on purpose. That said, Jack and Sawyer - YES. Nice. And I enjoyed Jack's little encounter with Maria Lucia (the name is the only one not listed on the IMDB, so I'm thinking maybe she made it up - and why would she make it up unless there's a plot point there. Though I suppose her being there at all is a pretty good indication we will see the likes of her again). She had more chemistry with him in the 2 minutes she was on screen than Jack's Reconstructed Trophy Wife who had all the show stopping appeal of melting slush.

Enjoyed the look on Jack's face when Danielle announced the doctor was going with her to face certain death. I wanted him to say "'K. Not the doctor anymore. Who want's to be the doctor now? It's up for grabs, people, I quit. Going home now..." but alas, he didn't.

Liked Hurly's "But I can't say Sylvester, George!" moment. Heh.

I was more impressed with Leslie Artz last episode. In this episode he reminded me more of Seinfeld's Newman. Possibly because his mad run through the jungle while being chased by the monster had a Jurasic Park feel to it.

Shannon. Forgiving the whole turned-in-Sayid in and of itself, what's wonderful about her is that she didn't turn Sayid in because reporting someone that asks you to look after a package for them at an airport is the right thing to do, she did it to piss off Boone. Beautiful flashback!

Meanwhile, the natives of the Island still haven't chosen a Pope. I'm curious as to why they announce their presense with black smoke.

Enjoyed the meaningful look shared between Charlie and Sawyer. Guess they bonded over Turniphead. And Dom and Neveen should ALWAYS be that close. Thank you.

Anyone catch Michael's Star Wars reference? It had to be pointed out to me, but it's quite funny.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Loved the Shannon moment with Sayid. The whole thing would've been beautiful even if they'd left it as-is, b/c it would've been such a Shannon thing to do to ignore somebody who was abandoning a piece of luggage in an airport.

What was the Star Wars reference?

I actually liked it more that she turned him in because it was done in a Shannon fashion of total disregard of everything. I got the feel that she didn't think of it at all until her argument with Boone, and then she used it as an opportunity to show him up. She's not at all afraid that this strange Arab guy left a package with her, so she's dicking both Sayid and Boone over with one stone. And that's just beautiful.

Michael is barking orders on the raft Han Solo style pointing "Thatthing goes there, that goes there!"

It was a nod to "Empire" when Han was trying to put the Falcon back together. Chewbacca had just taken apart something and they were all frantically trying to get it all together before they got squashed by the Empire. Han, atop the Falcon, shouts "NO! THAT goes THERE, THAT goes THERE!". The homage was so beautiful that it came down to even vocal inflection and body language - that and the dialogue were exact. LOVED IT!

Yep yep yep - the Jack and Sawyer did it for me. Loved it.

Can't wait for next week's season finale. :)

Ha! My husband made that exact same Pope joke.

Another treat in this last episode (aside from all the really good stuff) -- Dom's belly button!
