So I'm thinking I have about two, three days tops to write this Lost/Faculty fic challenge put forth last week by
almostnever before I have to say fuck it and just lay into the last mile of my thesis. I was suppose to write all weekend, but I kept finding excuses to not. Yesterday I sat down to write while also doing laundry. Bad idea. I started to wash my spring clothes and decided they looked too raggedy and needed an infusion of fresh springy things, so off to the store was I. Then I stopped at Sunflower market for grocery supplies and ended up going out to dinner with
_darlingnicky_. When I got home, I was a mix of needing to write and too tired to care, so sloth won out.
What I have done in terms of the fic is research on a few Ohio places. Needed to know if certain places still existed, name changes, university programs and crap like that. I have stuff down like a reason to get Casey and Zeke together, local color of the region and which of the Lost folk aside from Charlie will have a presence in the fic, but I'm still fuzzy on some of the details, like what sort of assignment Casey has with the CPD and his extracirricular paranormal investigation. Every time I think I've got it, it skews another idea I had and I have to start all over. Damn these paranormal conspiracy theories! Though having just rewatched The Faculty a few days ago, it's not like that sort of thing stopped Robert Rodriguez.
At work today we have two call offs right before spring break when everyone calls in to register for spring because they forgot to the three weeks they had before. I'm going to throw the phone through the window if it doesn't stop after lunch. I can't even get pissy with the students for not doing it online because most of them want it non-credit and the stupid system won't let them do that online. Why not? Because the university is controlled by a handful of people who are too stupid to live.
I'm noticing now that my lunch consists of only yellow foods. Banana, apple chips, string cheese, rice noodles/peanut sauce. Weird.

And I love the thoughts you're putting into that idea! Oh, man, it'd be so exciting! *bounces off the walls*
