Still Nothing

Oh my God! I swear about two hours must have past since last I looked at the clock, but apparently it's only been 10 minutes. I think I'm experiencing time loss. Where's Mulder when you really need him? Well, anyway, it's going to be a short work week as I got permission to take off Friday and Monday so I can more effectively stare blanking at my computer and wonder if it's possible to program it to write the rest of my thesis for me. Or maybe a way to convince Carl that I actually was abducted by aliens and therefore in need of an extension. Probably not.

And I found this meme in a hidden folder of my computer set aside from about 6 months ago. I'm posting it now so it can fulfill its function and doesn't die in vain:

M - Mum's name. Rosalie
N - Number of people you've slept with? Enough.
O - Overnight hospital stays. None. (many times an out patient though)
P - Promises broken. A few in my youth.

R - Religious affiliation. I'm into mysticism from many different religions, but don't really follow one over the others. I was raised Catholic.
S - Siblings. 1 sister - Gretchen
T - Time you wake up. 5:40 or 7:30 depending on shift.
U - Underwear of choice. Cotton.
V - Vegetable you refuse to eat. Lima beans. I've recently gotten over the whole bell pepper aversion, but I don't think God or Satan can get me to eat lima beans.
W - Worst habit. Lack of will power/giving in to cravings.
X - X-rays you've had. Shoulder, ankle, jaw, teeth, hips, sinus and back.
Y - Yummy food you make. I love to cook, not sure if I can pick one. And I don't really use recipes, so nothing I make has an actual name that I know of. I've been into lamb lately. Lamb stew, Lamb & peppers over rice. Lamb paprikash. Bubba Lamb Gump...
Z - Zodiac sign. Aries.

By sheer coincidence, I got an email from an old friend of mine who's been out in California for five years in grad school for clinical psychology. Among other things, she was telling me of the many woes involved in getting her Ph.D. thesis done, especially since it involves a study with living people in it and all. She's in a position where either it gets done by May or she has to get an extension and work summer as a waitress and fall as a TA, then finish it. Ack. Luckily she actually does love what she's been studying and is excited about soon being able to go work in her field.

After seeing multiple members of my family and several friends (including Caleb) go through grad school, I don't think I could do it unless I jetisonned pretty much my entire life. Way too much time involved!
