I'm sorta feeling sucked into Serial Experiments Lain. If anyone out there is a fan of the show and knows a bit about the fandom, can ya drop a line and chat with me? I've watched 7 episodes yesterday and I'm looking to watch the rest tonight and tomorrow. Don't know how this just sucked me in, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Just read a site that sezs the producer of the anime didn't think Americans would get it. Got two words to the producer: David Lynch. Yes there are some Americans than can think abstractly, thank you very much.

ooohhh - Lain. *very* good anime.

Tho I'm not sure how helpful I'd be in talking about it, since I watched it a while ago, and I probably would have to rewatch to be able to discuss it...

well...

I've only seen some of it. I keep trying to rent all four dvds in one shot so I can watch it from start to finish, but alas every time I go someone has one or more checked out. I love that it's weird and very abstract and maybe someday I'll catch the entire thing.

It's been a while since I watched Lain. So, can't really discuss unless I rewatch it again on my dvds. Next to Angel Sanctuary, this was the most deep anime I've ever encountered.

http://www.cjas.org/~leng/open.htm ... rare updated site all about Lain and will lead you to more sites about Lain.
