As if my coffee couldn't get snobbier, I now have to switch from milk to soy. I've been drinking soy instead of milk for a while now, but for little things like coffee and cooking I was still using fat free milk. But the other day I was under my desk curled in a fetal position waiting for the pain to pass. The culprit? My stupid coffee. Okay, I can take the hint. Most people become lactose intolerant by age 30. We're simply not meant to drink the stuff past childhood. So soy it is. I actually like the tase better, so no big deal. It's great for making curry stuff.

But damn. Today I had a vanilla-valencia grande latte with soy. I think if I had said "decaf" the pretentious police would have come after me. Here's to addiction!

I love soy. I love milk also and really lucky I'm not lactose intolerant like most people here. But soy rocks. Lately, I've been drinking black soyabean milk from Taiwan. It claims to be healthier. Either that or it'll just make my hair shiny and black.

Since I've switched to soy I've been actually going through cartons of the suff much faster than regular milk, which I'd typically end up toss out half. I've not seen black soyabean milk here... maybe they have it at the health food market...

I think they started selling it here last year? So, pretty new. It's natural black soyabean so no artificial flavoring, etc etc.

Someone told me soyabean milk isn't that hard to make either. I think all you need is a blender, soyabeans and a pot to heat it later and away you go. I've never tried it but one of my mom said it wasn't hard.

LOL! The "snobby" coffee thing just cracked me up. My coffee is dirt poor coffee. Folgers black. I'm a reject! :)
