CNN had as it's main story this morning that the US fears another major terrorist attack on American soil over the summer or during the elections. They changed the header and the article a bit by the time I got to work and now it's meshed into this article: http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/05/26/terror.threat/index.html I guess go head and read it if you're not as numb to it as I am.

Damn. And we no longer have a slayer to keep Bush and his demon hoards at bay.

I'm leaving the country on the 4th of July. That feels appropriate to me. Coming back later, hopefully -- hope they allow such things.

Just happened on this related article which makes some points one would hope Kerry or somebody would use...

Jesus. The part about NY ranking 49th in Homeland Security funds. . . it's sorta like taking your weakest link and applying a little rust to it for good measure.

If Kerry doesn't win this election, I'm leaving the country on count that the people here are too stupid to live. The depressing thing is, I don't like Kerry. . .

Yesterday Gore made all these hard-hitting charges on Bush and co. Ones that Kerry should have made. But he can't speak up clearly. The NY Times has an article on this today, how Democrats are divided on whether he should be moderate or be an attack dog. I think the latter appeals a lot more.

It's sad that it takes a weasle like Gore to now make the heavy hitting. Kerry really needs to hit the ground running and go after Bush with all the gusto he can muster. I mean, Bush is practically handing him the golden prize with all the asshole bullshit he's pulled over the last four years, it's not like you can't document a good 80% of it.

You know, if Kerry loses, I think we'll have to ask ourselves if it's for the better. I mean, given two choices, right now I'd vote for a potted plant over the incumbent.

Yeah, I don't like Gore much either. On the other hand, what does HE have to lose?

*grumble*

Gore's about four years and a backbone too late for me. Back when he ran against Bush they were about the same on every issue. Didn't even remotely fight Bush on the Florida thing, just sort of kicked some sand in the air and stomped off. Jesus, the guy supported Bush in disempowering congress after 9/11. Anytime he bashes Bush now I just can't take him seriously. I'm not sure if he does any good or if he actually causes more harm when he opens his mouth. =P
