Got the stats from my friend - looks like 2000+ people turned out at the state capital in Denver with Mayor Hickenlooper (I even love his name) to protest the proposed anti-gay marriage law to the constitution yesterday.
I've got to admit, watching the marriages performed in San Francisco had me in tears to see how happy those people where. They even know there's a big chance some official will strike the official California marriage certificates null and void, but just the chance to do this, to see that someone was standing up for them, gave them a reason for hope. It gives me one too. Especially with people like our mayor fighting for equal rights.
I want to add a special thanks to
wiebke for sending the article. Thanks! :)
