And now I just need to ask this question, because it's really bothering me. John Kerry - What the fuck? How the hell did this guy, not only pull ahead, but blitzkrieg in the primaries? Apparently, his hay day was the 70s, he was big shit then. Sorta got lost after that - now here he is, top primary contender. He looks like Ken would look in his mid forties and fifties. Maybe late thirties, as I'm sure Barbie would probably make him grey early (is there a difference between "grey" and "gray"? If there is, I never learned it and it's just become how I feel in the moment as to how I spell it).

Anyway. Found out that Kerry, like Dubya, is also a Yale Skull & Bones alum. I'm not saying this makes Kerry evil or that there's conspiracy in the air - but with that sort of finacial backing and overall support, it makes more sense that he would pull ahead like he has. Do they have a republican and democrat branch? I doubt it.

A sign of darker times to come?

My Prediction: I think we're going have a little incident occur. I predict we're either going to capture Osama Bin Laden or there will be another big terrorist attack on US territory come closer to Super Tuesday. Maybe both - Bush will be re-elected.

Me? I'm still bummed John Cusack decided he didn't want to run. Too bad - he had the best line in Bob Roberts. A good reason to vote for someone if ever there was one.

I didn't know Kerry had disappeared, he's been a Mass. Senator since I was like in 5th grade or something... :) In general, he always seemed to vote along with Kennedy, which I never had a problem with since I generally agree with almost anything Kennedy does or votes for. Sometimes Kerry would be a bit more conservative or covering his ass, but that was about it. And since Ted is completely unelectable, OK, Kerry is OK with me. Not that I think the primary process or media's treatment of it leaves much room for "fair" outcomes but that's pragmatism.

Re the Osama capture, yeah, I can see that. Maybe Dubya will secretly arrange for his buddies in Saudi Arabia to attack some part of a key voting state like CA.

Re:

I don't mean he disappeared as in "we don't know of his where abouts" I mean he lost the lime light he had in the 70s - he was pretty big shit nationally then. I've not heard about him in national news until the 2004 election stuff started. I'm sure you hear all about him in Mass - that would make sense, him being a senator there.

I don't know enough about him to make a statement on what I think about his politics - but I found the connection with Skull & Bones and his newly found popularity to be rather interesting.

Dubya just. . . I'm telling you this is going to happen and we're gonna re-elect a murderer =P

Re:

I think I actually heard that of the top five D. candidates, 4 of them went to Yale.

Re:

Going to Yale doesn't preclude Skull & Bones - and at least the others haven't admitted being S&B if they were involved. They very well might be, but there's no information in the media on that at all yet - not even in the indy press or even basement kook conspiracy theorist that know a little html.

I'm not saying Kerry is bad - I'm saying that with powerful connections and money from S&B, that might explain his unexpected, very fast rise.

Re:

And all I was saying is I found it creepy how they all went to that same school. You know, Yale was the only school I applied ot that I DIDN'T get accepted to. I'm very OK with that now though.

Re:

Ah. Sorry. Okay. Yeah, it is a little creepy. I guess it's hard to be president when you went to a community college, but you'd think there'd be some Harvard or Princeton or Brown or Berkeley people in the mix. I think Kucinich went to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Wonder where Al Sharpton went. . .

Yeah, I really think Dubya will pull Bin Laden out of a hat ("BUT THAT TRICK NEVER WORKS!" "THIS TIME FER SURE!") within a week of the election. He had that look on his chops during 'Meet The Press'.

Kaga for President! I LOVE IT! With Sakai as our emissary to restore relations with France ;)

Excuse me for saying this, but if John Cusack had decided to run for President, I'd have lost all respect for him. Do you honestly believe that there's place for anyone but a corrupted person in leadership? I don't think I'm cynical, I think I'm realistic: there's no way a honest person can survive in US politics anymore. The entire system needs a clean up.

Re:

Cusack was never running for president. A group of college students got together and put together the site based on the notion that he could do a better job than Bush, given his more radical political views. Cusack let them do it for a while, since he thought nothing would come of it and it was funny. But at some point, I guess he felt it was getting a little too serious and he asked the students to take down the website.

Re:

Yes, I had realized that he was never running for President, that's why I said "if he had decided to run for President", i.e. if he had succumbed to his fans' wishes. To me, the website didn't look just like a joke, but more like wishing and tempting.
