So I went over to the Colorado Symphony home page and discoved a slew of events I would really like to see. Went ahead and ordered these tickets for Sunday =)

BARRUECO PLAYS VIVALDI
October 3, 4, 5
William Eddins | Conductor
Manuel Barrueco | Guitar

    Rouse: The Infernal Machine
Sierra: FolĂas for Guitar and Orchestra
Vivaldi: Guitar Concerto in D major
    Beethoven: Symphony No. 6, "Pastoral"

Fun, fun! I love going to the symphony. I adore Vivaldi. Sometimes you've just got to splurge. . .

Also found this - one of my favorite Rachmaninoff pieces. Gonna have to go to this one too =)

RACHMANINOFF | PIANO CONCERTO No. 2
January 23, 24, 25
Roberto Minczuk | Conductor
Stanislav Ioudenitch | Piano

Wagner: Overture to The Flying Dutchman
    Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No. 2
    Barber: Adagio for Strings
    Strauss: Suite from Der Rosenkavalier

Have to admit that The Flying Dutchman is not one of my favorite Wagner pieces, but I love the other three, so I'll have to cope *g*

That's awesome.

I was going to the symphony here in Atlanta for a while but then determined my legs just were too restless, to the point I couldn't enjoy it. Even the most exquisite performances would have me more worried about bugging people around me than the show.

BTW, The Sun magazine (put out of Chapel Hill) has a really, really good interview of Noam Chomsky. They don't have it posted online yet (although I just discovered they do post online... didn't know that) so watch http://www.thesunmagazine.org for when October is posted. I felt like I lost several layers of skin, plus my retinas, as he scorched (minus any rhetoric) the long-standing manipulations of our government.

Oh, don't worry about you legs. As long as you're not kicking anyone in the head or shins, all should be well. =)

I'll check into the website and a few Chomsky haunts. Nothing like reading Noam so get the activist juices flowing. . . Just in time for Transform Columbus day stuff ;) Thanks for the link!

Re: Clap clap clap

Ha, actually the leg this is really bad. I basically feel like I'm going to have an epileptic fit, like I *must* move them. It would either last the whole first half of the show or it'd start after intermission. Half the show was always ruined by my intense desire to run around and kick things. Being in the *second row* during this really made it worse, I think!

I finished off the rest of that interview going home today. Just spectacular. If I weren't going away, I would type up highlights. But I'm going, going, soon gone... :)
