So I got off the phone with my primary thesis advisor and have a meeting with him next week to discuss finalization of my thesis proposal. Once he's happy with the proposal, it gets submitted to the entire department for review and they discuss if it's worthy thesis work or if I'm just a stupid git wasting everyone's time.

My grad advisor is already enthused over the topic, so I won't have problems with her. That's two of six people down.

I sat down yesterday and really narrowed the field. It's amazing how suddenly 50-100 pages suddenly doesn't seem long enough. I'm sure it will be once I begin to write.

For those of you dying to know what my topic is - and if I told you a year ago, just chuck that as I rejected it along with about 25 other topics - it's on premillennialism as a driving force in modern politics. Basically, apocalytic politics.

Why? Because as I researched the subject, I began to realize how frighteningly major this is to American, British and Israeli politics and consequently, to the entire world. I believe it's important, that's why I'm doing it. I'll post the proposal here once it's finalized and accepted.
