Well, I'm in Ohio and have been since Friday. So far things are mostly good. Mom and I only got into one argument (diswasher issues), which Andru and Kris were able to hear over the phone last night. Other than that, things have been calm.

And old friend from high school sent me a card with phone number to the folks house. So I called and thus far we've only been able to play phone tag =P Hopefully one of these days before I leave we'll get in touch and be able to see each other. Colleen is about the only person I meet in high school that I still talk to - we bonded in Yugoslavia, that's not something you easily break.

Sad news, no homemade kolach this year. Since dad broke his wrist, he couldn't roll the dough. Mom bought some from the church, but it's not the same as dads. Our backup was always Uncle Eddy if dad couldn't make it - but as some of you know, Uncle Ed passed away last March unexpectedly.

It's going to be strange without him this Christmas. But mom invited my cousin Jason and Aunt Mary Ann for dinner Christmas day. Jason and I have always been very close. My Aunt Mary Ann and I. . . have had many differences. She's the type of person that finds fault with everyone and everything. She's not happy unless she's criticizing someone. Neither my mom or dad really like her - but she's my dad's brother's widow and she has no one now, so. . .

I think I missed my chance to see Leah. Another phone tag nightmare. She never answers her phone and her machine doesn't work. You have two seconds to get a message in and it's too soft to hear anyway if you succeed. Very frustrating, but at the same time, very Leah. I've been trying to get a hold of her since September =P

Anyway, got shopping done. Now must wrap. . .

She and John left for New York or Florida. Before this month they were around but too terribly busy. Took that picture at their place in the end of October.

Leah teachs classes and takes classes and is fairly stressed at times. You know the tension lines across hills. John had a bit of a relapse, despite his diet. Last I talked to him, he was in good cheer, also in classes.

When I was there, he and I talked about years coming when she takes care of Leah who loses her mind due to a mix of tendency and heavy metal poisoning (her paints).

That's all the update for now.
