It's always something. Got a sinus infection from hell. The right side of my face and head feels like it's been hit by a house. One brick at a time.

In good news, I finally picked up U2's 1990 - 2000 CD and I've to say, I'm very pleasently surprised with it. They've got a lot of not so obvious tracks on it. And there are a lot of B sides I only had on tape previously. A couple of them I only had on some bootlegged tapes where the quality wasn't so great. They also added a DVD - but I haven't had time to look at it yet. 30 songs and a DVD for 20 bucks at Best Buy. Not a bad deal.

I also got the new Tori Amos CD Scarlet's Walk - another VERY pleasant surprise. The past two CDs I didn't really get into. To Venus and Back didn't really do anything for me. The second cd in the set, which was a bunch of her older song done live, made the CD well worth the purchase, but the new songs lacked what made Tori a power house singer/songwriter. Likewise, Strange Little Girls was a disappointment. Though I suppose this might be because it was a CD of Tori doing covers of other people's music. The only song I really liked was her rendition of Tom Waits' Time.

Scarlet's Walk is kind of a return to her girl with a piano and a firey desire to sing. I think it's a sort of combo of Under the Pink and Boys for Pele - But I like it much more than Under the Pink. Pele is still my favorite, I think. Scarlet doesn't quite achieve the cerebral hieght that Pele reached. Though I suppose for many people, that's not a bad thing ;)
