1. A pairing that you enjoy reading but will never write, and why.
I love Bashir/Garak in DS9 and Spike/Dru in Buffy, but I'm just not called to write for them, I guess. Not enough time and other characters are calling me *g*
2. The pairing that you think has spurred the most really awful fan fiction.
What pair hasn't? I think percentage-wise we'd find that all pairings have an equal ratio of good/bad fics in them. Volume-wise, the more popular pairings are going to have more awful fics in them than non-traditionals. So in GW, I think 1x2/3x4/13x6 are the ones with the worst fics, but then, that's what most authors in the fandom write. In VC is Lestat/Louis, in Buffy it's Buffy/Angel, Angel/Spike and so on. . .
3. A pairing that you just don't get.
I will never get Trowa/Une. I understand that they both have a lot of respect for each other, but that doesn't equate romatic relationship. Especially when you consider how strict Une is in conduct. Hell, Treize grabbed her hand once and she practically jumped out of her skin at the inpropriety. And she was in love with the guy. Can't see her getting hot and bothered over some 15 year old subbordinate. And Trowa. . . well, this is subjective, of course, but no other GW character sets the gaydar off as loudly as Trowa "You Can Use My Gundam, Heero" Barton.
4. A pairing that you think is difficult to write believably, and an example of it done well.

damoyre's Anything Goes (2+5), is a good fic, as is Counting Clouds (5+6).

Xander/Anya in Buffy. I didn't really like Xander when I was first introduced to the character, but he grew on me. I don't write het too much, but I like the dynamics of these two characters. Xander's insecurities and Anya's blunt vengence demon nature make for fun ;)
