Question on DSL or Cable

For those of you that have a cable modem - do you find it better than DSL, about the same or worse? Denver finally has digital cable in my area and I'm thinking about switching because my DSL service with Qwest sucks. It's a bit more expensive though, so I'm wondering if it's worth the switch.

On a related note, I think I'm one of the few people on the planet that has better speeds at home than at work.

Cable is MUCH faster than DSL. If we didn't have over-priced Cablevision in our area, we'd go for it.

I'm so desperate to just get totally away from anything Qwest that I think the money might be worth less hassle. I picked up a new cell, so I'm thinking if I drop phone service the cable modem won't be so bad. I'll just need to top up my phone card before it expires. Heh, heh... Ask me how many times I've forgotten that in the past year.

We love our cable modem and VOIP based phone service like Vonage works better with cable modems than with DSL. We just got switched to Comcast tho and the service has been spotty. If you have other options than Comcast, I'd go with that.

When we spend our month in Charleston for SpoletoUSA, the apartment we are givin has Comcast internet and cable. The installers could appear in A CONSPIRACY OF DUNCES, but the overall service isn't as bad as Adelphia (what Chris had in Buffalo). Adelphia is evil.

Do you have Verizon in Denver? They do an internet, VOIP and fiberoptic cable TV thingy.
