I'm fairly certain that Mercury came out of retrograd sometime this week, as things started to fall into a good happy place yesterday. For starters, I got a call from Carl telling me I had to meet with him right then and there because he totally forgot he was leaving town the next day, which was when our appointment was set for. As most of you know by now, Carl makes me very tired and has probably given me ulcers. But I went to meet him and things worked out very well. We have an official time table set for the thesis and all paper work is signed and turned into the apropriate departments and whatnot. Everything is set so that what happened this term will not happen in spring. A load off my mind.
I got a call from a woman asking if I could give a lecture on traditional themes in health, healing and spirituality later this month. Seems Nick recommended me to her. So despite the fact that this is SO not my field of expertise in religion, I told her I could do it. I'm reading over the book they're using now and seeing if I can scrounge up some of my old anthropology books. I figure 30 mins of me talking and 30 mins for Q&A.
Turned in my proposal for teaching a class in the fall. Hopefully that gets picked up. I need to get to a point where I have a few adjunct teaching positions so I can finally get out of office work. It would be wonderful to have time to do things like write and bead and exercise and not take calls from students who don't know how to turn on a computer. So here's to my first step at getting out of mundania...
