almostnever proposed a little self-examination on us fic writers, so I thought I'd pick up the gauntlet.

What's your favorite fic?

I think I'd have to say that Misted Moon is my all time favorite for Gundam Wing. I think it's the truest fic I've written in that fandom, whatever that means. I'm proud of that one for taking a deathfic challenge and not turning it into a melodrama. I think I nailed the characterizations of both Trowa and Treize - and given tey never met in the series, I think I did a great job in taking what I know from both of them and coming up with a believable scene of how they might interact given the circumstances they're thrown into.

In VC I have to say that Mad Love is my favorite. I just find it funny as all hell in a demented sort of way. Zomby Woof ties with it for the same reason. For a very different reason Dulce et Decorum est - It's not the best written, but my soul went into that fic. It's one of my first real fics.

What is your best fic?

In GW I think my best might actually be The White Cat. I find it a toss up between Winding Down the Day and The White Cat - but I think TWC is just a better story taken on the whole, were as WDtD has a lot of great moments strung together.

In VC my best fic is definately Devil's Minion. The quality of writing is just at it's best. It's probably my best fic overall as well.

What's your most over-rated fic?

GW - Skin Deep. I admit I find the fic amusing and I've certainly written worse, but I keep getting mail on that story. It's not my best effort by a long shot, yet it still seems to be popular. In fact, I think it's sequel in the story arc, Lay Your Hands Gently, is a far better story and it's virtually been ignored.

VC - Dark Ages. It has some good moments, but overall the story isn't that great. At the time I needed to explain somethings after Memduck, and I think I accomplished what I wanted. But god, there is some choppy, crappy writing in that fic.

What's your most under-rated fic?

GW - Light as a Feather. A couple people really loved it, but it didn't garner much support. That's fine, I guess it's a bit on the odd side. But I think the writing there is actually some of my best. Except that I reread it now and just realized I have a continuity error the size of Nebraska in it @_@

VC - Winter. It's short, but I think it's also rather powerful in showing how far gone into insanity Daniel was as a mortal. People don't really remember it in light of Devil's Minion and Zomby Woof.
