Okay, I don't have a site to link to yet, but the breaking news in Denver on the TV and radio is that only Katrina victims that have been evacuated to Texas are getting the $2000 promised to them by the Bush administration the other day. I REALLY hope this is a misunderstanding, because right now the Colorado chapter of the Red Cross is freaking out and working to get debit cards to the Denver evacuees of about $500 each out of their own budget.

Anyone have information with regards to this in your town if you have evacuees?

But gosh, what's the point of doing something good and right if you can't get any gain for and from your constituents out of it? I mean, if they gave non-Texas residing evacuees those cards, how would the money get funneled to TEXAS??
