Weekend & Deadline Day
Visit with Erick was very nice. He cooked beef/snow pea stir fry for me that was yummy. We watched South Park the movie and decided it was frighteningly too close to reality to laugh much. Substitute France for Canada and it's a documentary. Got the backrub in the morning - NICE! To all those that left messages for Erick - passed them along for you =) He's promised to have someone call me if he falls off a ski lift. Will post news.
Frodo - got tangled in the sheets I kicked on the floor last night. I could hear him shuffling around the floor. Looked over the bed and saw a ghost dog inching his way to the door. Wish I had a camera.
According to the news, we're looking at a blizzard tomorrow. They've canceled meetings at work as they think the 1-3 feet of expected snow will close the university. Imagine that!
Still undecided about the war? Ask yourself this question: Are you afraid of Saddam Hussein? I mean, really afraid of him in that you personally are going to be hurt by him? Do you think you'll be killed by Iraqis? Are you afraid your house is going to be destroyed by Iraqi missles tonight? Do you think the highway you drive to work by will still be there in the morning?
Then consider this: Do you think that Iraqis are afraid of George W. Bush? Are Iraqis afraid that they will be killed by Americans? Do you think Iraqis are afraid that in the morning their houses will no longer be standing and that they or loved ones may be dead? Are Iraqis are afraid that their infrastructure is going to be blown to hell? That disease and hunger will kill them if the war doesn't?
Now ask yourself - whose fear is more immediate?
